RIPE RED APPLE

NEW ALBUM "FEEL ASHAMED" OUT NOW!

Ripe Red Apple's newest album, Feel Ashamed, mixes dark elements of Appalachian music, early '60's pop, Mississippi hill country blues, piedmont blues, folk, indie rock, and soul.

The band was originally formed in Valparaíso, Chile in 2008, by Gaia Lyle and Gonzalo Villa, influenced largely by the early recordings of delta, piedmont, and hill country blues musicians. In 2013 the duo moved to Portland, Oregon, and recorded their first album of all original songs, which was produced by Christopher Benson, who also performs regularly with the band on slide guitar. Ripe Red Apple's latest album, Feel Ashamed,  was recorded by Gonzalo Villa onto a 4-track, 1/2" tape machine in La Villa Studios in Portland, Oregon. Mixed and mastered to tape by Christopher Benson, the album has now been released on bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, and other music providers. Watch the music video to the single I Feel Ashamed:
